Summary
Alicia survives the fall, as she hoped. Klen contacts her, tells her about Nell and makes it clear that crushing the bandits is her job, not his. When the Crows come down to check on her, she fights them off with the lessons her father taught her, knocks several of them into the water to draw out the monsters and then dives in after the sword.
Back at the hideout, Nell asks Carme about her past. Vroko overhears, learns about Luna and drags Nell into a dark tunnel, where he feeds her to Betty as a traitor. Klen arrives and the frightened troll spits Nell back up, but Vroko uses his sorcery to force Betty to attack Klen.
