Hiderat is the capital of Hiden, a city of forges and smokestacks. The furnace known as “Hyden’s Fire” was never to be extinguished.
At the start of the story Clevatess attacked the city in revenge for the heroes, shrugging off its arrows and destroying the castle; the king died in the throne room. Drel’s army later fought T’ala’s remaining forces in the ruined city, while the decisive battle took place at the Royal Furnace.
After the war the throne room survived and reconstruction began. The royal family moved into the detached Moon Under Palace. When the holy sites of the legend were restored, the Royal Furnace rose from the ground overnight in its original golden form.
