Vroko is a short, ugly man in a fur coat decorated with skulls who runs the Crows’ hideout by the Mineshaft of Elbe while their real leader, Jazhak, is imprisoned. He insists on being called “Boss”.

He mixed powdered magic ore with herbs and the larvae of the ashinaga parasitic fly to make a smoke that dulls the minds of devil beasts, and with it he tamed the western troll Betty, whom he truly loves. He resented a sorcerers’ union that had mocked him. The Crows also sold slaves and fake magic swords, and Vroko met the black-clad men buying babies, whom he feared.
Recognizing Alicia as one of the thirteen heroes, he forced her to retrieve the Waterfall Slicer. When Luna’s crying hit him with raw sorcery, Vroko took the baby hostage and turned invisible with a transparency spell, but Alicia found him by Luna’s cries and killed him.
