Jazhak is the leader of the Crows, a huge, hairy man with a crow tattoo who was imprisoned before the story began. Even Vroko never dared to replace him. He is called the Hero Hunter, and he admits that even he never managed to retrieve the Waterfall Slicer from the Mineshaft of Elbe.
Emperor Beis Werz brought him, still in shackles, as his bodyguard to the three-nation conference, where he attacked King Yuriel and broke his chains to challenge the Sword Saint. He recognized Alicia and her sword.
During the Solsein incident Jazhak waited outside the school with a coffin, saying it was finally time for him to “play his role as a thief”. When the exhausted Clevatess left Solsein alone, Jazhak ambushed him and tore out his heart. He then opened the coffin, which held a skeleton in a pirate captain’s coat with a lantern marked by Toa’s triangle, sealed the heart in the lantern, put on the coat and boarded a red flying ship bearing the same emblem.
