Summary
Introduced as exchange students from Hiden, Klen and Alicia attend their first magic lesson. Rhode and Miquel are also undercover as teachers, and Klen and Alicia warn Naie not to give them away. Alicia cannot cast a spell at all, while Ray and the students Mary and Andrew Whip succeed easily. The low-ranked student Nathan Franc encourages her.
The next day Nathan is missing and his room is covered in blood. Nathan has been drawn into a strange world, where Vordin’s salamander tempts him with the power of Toa. In reality he has become a beast and attacks Leon. Alicia and Tygel protect Leon, but she cannot reach Klen. Class representative Mary Maryweather arrives, cancels the beast’s attacks with her rune and returns Nathan to normal.
