Summary
Rhode arrives just in time to question Andrew. Sarasa covers the school in mist to help Klen. Vordin turns Andrew against Rhode, who is trapped in a tree, while Vordin’s salamander tells Alicia the story of a true hero. Alicia survives being crushed thanks to her rune and her immortality, and Rhode survives with a weapon made from the remains of Drel’s sword.
As the school is evacuated, Naie and Mary fight the shadow beasts and find that fire works against them. Elsewhere, Owen leads a team into Clevatess’s domain to look for the weapons of the thirteen heroes, losing most of his men. Gart saves Rhode, Andrew is knocked out, and Gart, who can see what the tiny beast really is, realizes it is Alicia.
