Boelate is an empire of the Don people east of the Dorn River, the rival of Eslinn. Under Drel, who first brought wizards onto the battlefield in Dorne’s Plain, it gained the upper hand in military magic, thanks largely to the magic department of the Solsein Seminary, whose graduates become officers.
Boelate invaded Hiden with fifty thousand troops and giant armored war beasts after the fall of Hiderat, aiming to capture the royal heir and the secret of the Royal Furnace. After Drel’s defeat, Hiden broke off relations, banned sword sales to Boelate and joined a two-year ceasefire under which Boelate was to disclose Drel’s research.
