Zavthier is the Devil Beast King of the West, who rules the Grand Forest beyond the lands of the Orgg. She is a master of illusions and mist. In her true form she appears as a giant woman with a serpent’s body, wings, an antler-like halo and markings on her face.
Personality
Zavthier is old, knowing and evasive. She is fond of humans in her own way: she protects the Orgg, who worship her, and spends time among humans because she believes the meaning of life lies “in the process from birth until death”. She still describes the Toa that once enslaved humanity as an enemy, and warns that she will destroy humans if they ever become Toa’s pawns again.
History
Zavthier survived the war with the heroes over a thousand years ago and was the one who explained the devastated world to the newly reborn Clevatess. For centuries she visited him once every hundred years through a new medium.
When young devil beasts began disappearing from her forest she sent Gart to investigate. At the Solsein Seminary she possessed her medium, the Orgg princess Sarasa, to meet Clevatess and Laswell, told them about the two-hundred-year war against the heroes and insisted that Toa must stay sealed. During the night of the black tower she covered the school in mist to keep casualties down. Clevatess was furious that she had known about the Books of Toa and kept quiet.

- Possession: She speaks and acts through a medium of the Orgg.
- Blessing: Her protection keeps devil beasts from attacking those she favors.
